3 large Gala apples, cored and sliced ¼ inch thick
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
In a large bowl, toss together apples, sugar, cinnamon, salt, lemon juice, and cornstarch until apples are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
In a large skillet, cook butter over medium-high heat until fragrant and bubbling, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add apple mixture; cook, stirring frequently, until apples are tender and sauce is thickened, about 12 to 15 minutes.
