Art in the Garden – Charlotte, North Carolina

The Charlotte Garden Club’s annual showcase of private gardens will spotlight seven ardently nurtured landscapes as well as local artists. On this self-guided tour, enjoy the intermingling of horticulture and nature-inspired works of art, nestled within some of the city’s most picturesque neighborhoods.

Georgetown Garden Tour – Washington, D.C.

Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, the Georgetown Garden Club of Washington, D.C., welcomes nature lovers from near and far to explore eight exquisite gardens around town. Most of the featured gardens are within easy walking distance, adding to the charm of an afternoon stroll in great company. Proceeds from the event benefit the area’s parks and green spaces.

Birmingham Rose Show – Birmingham, Alabama

Presented by the Birmingham Rose Society at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, this floral exhibit and juried show spotlights roses at their spectacular peak. The most coveted award is the Queen of Show, or the best overall bloom, while the arrangements category boasts impressive displays that are sure to inspire your own creations.

Penny McHenry Hydrangea Festival & Garden Tours – Douglasville, Georgia

Numerous gardeners across Georgia’s Douglasville and greater Douglas County participate in this fun-filled tribute to one of the South’s favorite flowers. Revered as “The Hydrangea Lady,” the garden event’s namesake, Penny McHenry, founded the American Hydrangea Society in Atlanta during the 1990s. Keep your eyes peeled for varieties of every shade and size among a sea of other flourishing beauties and eclectic statuary.
