4. Sipping Pretty

Bright citrus and herbs are the perfect finishing touches for a cool beverage. Gussy up the garnish by using a channel knife to pare ribbons of peel lengthwise from a whole lemon. Leave the white pith intact and allow a small space between each cut for a striped effect. Once you’ve worked your way around the entire lemon, cut it into rounds. Make a slit at one edge of each round so it can perch on the rim of a glass with mint leaves.
