
Cinnamon Apples
Makes 4 servings.
Ingredients
- 3 large Gala apples, cored and sliced ¼ inch thick
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, toss together apples, sugar, cinnamon, salt, lemon juice, and cornstarch until apples are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- In a large skillet, cook butter over medium-high heat until fragrant and bubbling, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add apple mixture; cook, stirring frequently, until apples are tender and sauce is thickened, about 12 to 15 minutes.
