Everyday Grace: Something Blue

A sentimental spirit runs deep through Alexa Archibald’s new jewelry brand, Charm Lane Collection. Inspired by the antique cameos and an assortment of vintage accessories that belonged to her beloved grandmother, Terry, Alexa offers dainty charms, statement-making pendants, and pretty necklaces that combine classic design with fresh motifs. Crafted predominantly in the shades of blue and white that both Alexa and her grandmother found enticing, the pieces pay homage to their special relationship.

“My grandmother was an extraordinary woman,” says Alexa. Memories of baking alongside the matriarch and playing dress-up in her home are dear to her heart, but it’s Terry’s inner strength that Alexa honors daily through her business. “My grandmother beat breast cancer two times,” she shares. In tribute, a portion of every purchase from the Charm Lane Collection is donated to breast cancer research. “It means so much to be able to give back,” says the entrepreneur.

The opportunity to champion personal causes comes after years spent in the corporate world working in various roles at Meta Platforms, J.Crew, and Lilly Pulitzer. While on maternity leave with her second child in 2023, Alexa yearned for a creative outlet and launched Charm Lane on Instagram. There, she began curating her favorite coastal and grandmillennial style finds. Two years later, the creative started designing a jewelry line for the venture, which has now evolved into a full-time enterprise.

Recently, Alexa’s entrepreneurial spirit was honored at The Southern Coterie’s 2026 Summit, where she was presented with the Phyllis Hoffman DePiano TSC Summit Scholarship. “Phyllis built a brand that represents thoughtful storytelling, celebrates tradition, and fosters meaningful connections while also being extremely devoted to her family,” says the business owner. “To be honored in her name as I embark on building Charm Lane while I pour into my little family means the world.”

Empowering Entrepreneurs

Throughout her lifetime, Hoffman Media founder Phyllis Hoffman DePiano was always generous with uplifting advice for women seeking to fulfill creative dreams. An innovative leader and entrepreneur, Phyllis inspired and mentored many who crossed her path. “The word of encouragement I could best give anyone is to never give up,” Phyllis once said. “Find what works for you and do it.”

To honor her legacy of elevating the voices and talents of women, Cheri Leavy and Whitney Long, cofounders of The Southern Coterie, created the Phyllis Hoffman DePiano TSC Summit Scholarship. The award grants a woman with a burgeoning business the opportunity to enjoy a one-year membership in TSC and to attend the annual TSC Summit. Held each January on St. Simons Island, Georgia, the Summit is a gathering for members of TSC and serves as a powerful catalyst for connection, collaboration, and growth.
