Halloween Whimsy

Lean into the magical whimsy of Halloween with a themed arrangement and painted pumpkins. Select several shades in a color palette to paint in large streaks on a pumpkin, layering in stripes of gold or silver for a glimmering touch. Present these alongside other gourds for a mix of eccentric and traditional. Affix floral arrangements to a handrail for another lively touch.

A Gradient of Blooms

Make a statement with your home’s façade with a seasonal installation showcasing a bounty of blooms and gourds. Alternating hues of cream, lilac, yellow, and orange mums creates a gradient effect across the front lawn and trailing up to the front door, guiding guests inside. A couple of oversize pumpkins offers a time-honored autumnal look, while smaller gourds in an array of hues are tucked between each mum to complete the display.

A Sculptural Doorway

The pièce de résistance for this home is a sculptural installation surrounding the doorframe. Twining branches frame the area, establishing a foundation for textural additions. Incorporating dried hydrangea, pampas grass, and faux branches throughout the base creates a moody look reminiscent of nature this time of year. Pops of aubergine, rust, cherry, and gold draw the eye to this magnificent presentation.

Pastel Porch Charm

Achieve a similar seasonal look on a smaller scale with a pastel palette and other accessories. Woven baskets, planter boxes, and urns filled with mums and pumpkins allow you to incorporate your everyday porch items and extend a welcoming ambience to the autumnal display. Jewel-toned mums reflect fall shades, while soft-hued gourds and long-stemmed pumpkins feel nostalgic for the scene. Exchange outdoor pillows and blankets for ones that echo the scheme, creating a cozy environ to enjoy all season long.
