Andouille Sausage and Apple Bites with Creamy Mustard Sauce

MAKES 6 SERVINGS
Ingredients
  • ¼ cup whole-grain mustard
  • ¼ cup apricot preserves
  • ½ teaspoon hot sauce*
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 (12-ounce) package andouille sausage, cut diagonally into ½-inch-thick slices
  • 1 small Granny Smith apple, cut into thin ½-inch pieces
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, stir together mustard, preserves, and hot sauce.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Brown sausage slices for 1 to 2 minutes, turning halfway.
  3. Serve sausage and apple slices on appetizer skewers with mustard sauce.
