Looking for updated ways to display pretty heirlooms and decorate with fresh flowers? We’ve gathered some of our favorite creative vignettes to inspire you while preparing for a party, refreshing a room, or simply arranging cherished collectibles in a new light.
Natural Glow
Warm spirits with a display that draws from nature’s treasures. Cut a piece of foam board to fit snugly in the bottom of a bread bowl. Secure ivory tapers of varied heights to the board using hot glue. Once dry, fill in with tightly packed moss, allowing strands to spill over the bowl’s edge. Finish with assorted pine cones.
Jeweled Luster
Bedazzle guests with a tabletop bolstered by sequined linens and pearlescent baubles. We filled clear glass holders with loose trinkets and nestled in simple white votives. A sateen bow with a decorative pendant further animates the grouping of shimmering accents.
Delicate & Dreamy
Intermingle vintage whatnots to set an uplifting tone for teatime with close companions. This lighthearted vignette of lacy doilies and flowery china is topped by a watercolor ranunculus bud, placed under a cloche to preserve its freshness.
Gleaming Presentation
On a sideboard set for entertaining, sparkling wine chills atop a tray adorned with greenery and glitter-dusted pine cones. Champagne flutes preside over the refreshments like artful icicles, while candlelight infuses a golden glow.
Tabletop Posies
Bring a muted tablescape to life with brightly hued pansies and other blooms, tucked amid a sprightly arrangement of greenery and fresh herbs. Soaked floral foam creates the perfect anchor inside this stylish tin planter.
Timeless Style
Bring out valued collectibles and polish old silver to use in novel ways. This blend of blue-and-white china holds mismatched vintage flatware. Monogrammed pieces invigorate the scene, illuminated by a bouquet of winter-white roses, hypericum berries, seeded eucalyptus, and wax flowers.
Floral Awakening
As much of Mother Nature’s splendor slumbers this time of year, camellias unfurl in all their glory. Branches freshly clipped from the garden create the foundation for this artful display. Staged in a mix of mercury glass and silver vessels, the addition of ballet-pink carnations, white roses, ivory hypericum berries, and sprigs of astilbe complete the look.
