How to Create Paper Stars
Supplies:
- Sheets of paper. These can come from used books, music sheets, construction paper, or plain white paper.
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Steps:
- Take the top right corner and fold down to align the top of the paper to the left side. Using scissors, cut the excess paper off so you are left with a perfect square. Turn the sheet 90 degrees, so one corner is at the top.
2. Then, take the two side corners, fold over and down the middle crease, and press in place. Fold the remaining triangle of paper on top of the two sides, creating a triangle with two longer sides. Take the two bottom corners and fold in towards the center crease to create a kite shape, then use a bit of glue to secure these two folds down. Repeat the previous steps four more times so you have five total points.
3. Lay one point of your star flat, then place a dot of glue in the corner of the angled side. Place another point on top, gluing the two pieces together. Repeat gluing and placing, then open your star carefully, and glue and press the last two pieces together to create a full star. Repeat this process with pieces of any size to craft your own galaxy of paper stars.
