Local landmark Shearwater Pottery was founded in 1928 by Peter Anderson, the namesake of the town’s fall arts and crafts fest—Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival. The Anderson family’s artistic legacy lives on as children and relatives of the brothers continue to create distinctive earthenware that’s both beautiful and functional.
