A trellis-covered space serves as an ideal setting for alfresco dinner parties, while the gazebo and poolside lounge areas lend themselves to rest and relaxation. The pool house offers a place to get dressed and store toys and accessories. Teak furniture weathers well and develops a pretty patina; neutral cushions throughout allow an interchangeable palette of pillows, creating a coordinated exterior that adds to the sophisticated but inviting spirit of the rest of the home.

Elegant Escape

Lush flora and natural stone accent a graceful, contemporary cabana, lending an air of summertime ease to this dreamy oasis. For effortless outdoor entertaining, a lovely wet bar anchors the cabana with dark wood cabinets adorned with wrought iron details. Neutral stone outlines an arched farmhouse-style mirror painted turquoise, picking up cool tones of the nearby pool.

Soaring wood beams and arches frame the patio, while a gentle sky blue tile grounds the space in freshness. Worn garden chairs whose legs had decayed were given new life as airy swing chairs, imparting a breezy summertime feel that flows through the rest of the space. Organic neutrals combine with flickers of blue and coral to bring in colorful charm.

Timeless Appeal

This Alabama garden design’s grand focal feature is a pool house set at the back of the property that is used for family gatherings and entertaining. The structure sits at the end of a narrow tree-lined pool so that its large, paned window and ivy-covered façade reflect on the water’s surface, reminiscent of classic palatial garden designs. The pool runs alongside the home, which boasts a brick terrace to overlook the picture-perfect scene. Stone planters, aged corbels, a semicircular bench, and informally laid stonework give the yard Old-World character that is matched by notable architectural details in the pool house.
