1. Grammy Museum Mississippi 

A major draw for many travelers, the Grammy Museum Mississippi showcases musical artifacts throughout the decades that belonged to important artists, from B.B. King to Bruno Mars. Learn about legendary musicians from the early days of the blues, visiting interactive displays that show the glitz and glamour of music’s biggest night. You’ll see some of the outfits worn on the red carpet and experience surround-sound performances of some the Grammy’s finest collaborations. With a rotating selection of special exhibits, there is always something new to explore. 

2. Delta Meat Market

Chef Cole Ellis gained a community following and national acclaim after his grocery and Southern-style lunch counter grew into a full-service restaurant. With a variety of delicious options, Delta Meat Market offers grab-and-go soups, salads, and sandwiches for a quick bite. You also can make a dinner reservation for scrumptious seasonal dishes and heavenly hand-crafted cocktails. 

3. Blues Trail Markers

Travel along the Mississippi Blues Trail to uncover stories about the genre and its influence on notable musicians. Four markers are found in Cleveland, including an explanation on the history and likeness between traditional Sunday morning gospel music and the lively sound of Saturday night blues.

4. Martin & Sue King Railroad Heritage Museum

Blues music was not the only thing to put Cleveland on the map. The Martin & Sue King Railroad Heritage Museum (above, right) explores the poignant impacts of the railroad industry on the Delta. Be sure to check out their replica of the railways and walk back in time through their 1941 Illinois Central Caboose.

5. Rosson Co.

Located in the heart of town, Rosson Co. is one of the oldest retailers in Cleveland. Ryan and Price Rosson pride themselves on providing exquisite wedding registries, fine china collections, and beautiful jewelry selections. Pick out something special to bring home to remember your travels. 

6. Peter’s Pottery

A quick jaunt through Cleveland will bring you to Mound Bayou, home to Peter’s Pottery, started in 1998 by four brothers. Now a thriving business, their one-of-a-kind pieces are made from red clay, otherwise known as ‘Mississippi Mud.’ From creative animal sculptures to whimsical yet functional vases and bowls, Peter’s Pottery is made by hand with an emphasis on detail.
