Twisted Bacon Breadsticks
MAKES ABOUT 12 BREADSTICKS
Ingredients
- ½ (17.3-ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed (1 sheet)
- 6 slices bacon
- ¼ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°. Line 2 rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, unfold pastry sheet. Cut pastry evenly into 12 (¾x9½-inch) strips.
- Cut each bacon slice in half, lengthwise.
- In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar and chili powder. Sprinkle over bacon, pressing to adhere. Place 1 bacon slice on each pastry strip. Twist bacon and pastry together and pinch ends together. Place 1 inch apart on prepared pans.
- Bake, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy, 15 to 17 minutes.
